Description:
This project consisted of the construction of a new 30,000 s.f. building, featuring a three-story, cast-in-place concrete structure with brick veneer, a metal panel mechanical penthouse and a louvered rooftop equipment enclosure. This facility consists of numerous laboratories, all with custom laboratory casework, fume hoods, gas, and water services. Also included are tissue culture laboratories, cold storage rooms, electro physiology and microscopy rooms, along with classrooms, offices, and support space. There are glazed curtain wall entrances, automatic door operators and approximately fifty windows. The site work included new storm, sewer, water, asphalt paving, seeded areas, concrete sidewalks, landscaping, and unit pavers. Work also included the installation of a hydraulic elevator with three stops, and all telecom, security, fire alarm, electrical, HVAC, fire protection, and plumbing systems. The interior finishes consists of VCT, ceramic tile, quarry tile flooring, and painted drywall partitions.
