Hillsborough County Court Facilities Renovations

The Hillsborough County Court Facility was a renovation project comprised of the Main Court House, North Tower and Edgecomb. The total square footage renovated in all three buildings was 219,333.
The Main Courthouse is a three-story build-out on two city blocks, which included demolition, re-roofing, elevator installation, elevator renovation and mold remediation. The work on the new building included the Clerk of the Court Suite, Records Suite, Law Library, Grand Jury Room, State Attorney’s Offices, Investigations and various Division and Attorney’s Offices. The building systems included the installation of an Uninterruptable Power Supply Computer Room, 500 KW Generator, Pre-Action and Wet Sprinkler Systems.
The North Tower First and Sixth Floor Renovation included the following: Three Courtrooms, Holding Cells, Sallyport Renovations, Judge’s Chambers, and various supporting and administrative offices. The Judge’s chambers and Courtrooms include bullet resistant materials. Air Handlers were added and existing Mechanical Systems were modified.
The Edgecomb Third Floor Renovations included four Hearing Rooms, a Court Room, Holding Cells, Judge’s Chambers and various administrative and support offices.
