The AFRC facility is a four-story, 199,342 s.f. building with a 24,960 s.f. Field Maintenance Shop (FMS) and a two-story parking garage with a total of 116 spaces. The building is a joint use facility, utilized by the Army National Guard, Army Reserve, Marine Corp Reserve and Navy Reserve. Each programmed entity has their own specialized individual work space, but where appropriate, common spaces are combined for use by all groups.
The AFRC and FMS is constructed on an urban, federally owned 12.7 acre site. The facility supports five ARNG units, eight USAR units, USNR, USMCR and consolidates seven reserve component installations into one centrally located and modern facility. All units within the AFRC are provided with the necessary administrative, training and storage areas required to effectively prepare for their missions. The facility has an authorized design strength of 1,775 enlisted personnel and 155 officers.
