Largo City Hall Renovation
Owner: City of Largo
The renovation of the Largo City Hall consisted of three existing buildings totaling 100,000 s.f. The work included the complete demolition of all interior walls, finishes, electrical, HVAC and plumbing to complete reconstruction of the new Largo City Hall and Police Station. Reconstruction included new mechanical, electrical, plumbing and communication systems, in addition to new walls and finishes. The Police Station required special security construction to include bullet proof glass, security walls, doors and frames. Detention cells were built to medium security standards. The complete facility was monitored with state-of-the-art tilt-zoom cameras. Ingress and egress to all areas of the facility was monitored with a card access system. A new 3,500 s.f. mechanical plant provides humidity and temperature control of the Police Station. This building also house’s the emergency generator system feeding all three renovated buildings. Construction involved minor site modifications to include new paving, retention pond modifications and ADA compliance entrances.
